The problem

What we see in drivers and fleets

  • Low back pain from long hours seated with whole-body vibration
  • Poor seat and mirror set-up in shared vehicles
  • Loading and offloading injuries at delivery points
  • Fatigue and poor sleep affecting driving performance
  • Driver absenteeism that leaves routes uncovered

The legal angle

Ergonomics Regulations, 2019 under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993; driving as seated work with vibration and fatigue risk; NBCRFLI wellness programmes in road freight.

No. Checks happen at the depot at shift start or end, in the driver's own vehicle.

Can you cover several depots?+

Yes. We roll out depot by depot with a combined fleet report.

Is this part of Road Wellness?+

Yes. Ergonomics is a standard Road Wellness module and can also be booked on its own.

What does the fleet report show?+

Set-up risk by vehicle type and depot, driver-reported pain, and a ranked action list.
